Romans 10:8-10 (New International Version)
But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
Spiritual laws function whether we are aware of them or not.
If we can understand how faith works in salvation, we can understand how faith works in all areas of life.
Faith is a spiritual law that will always function in the same way.
How to Receive Salvation by Faith (Romans 10:8-10)
Salvation is the outcome of the law of faith.
Healing is another outcome of the law of faith.
Receiving Blessing is yet another outcome of the law of faith.
Romans 10:17 (New International Version)
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.
Faith comes by hearing, and hearing comes by the Word.
Faith comes.....Hearing comes
Spiritual hearing is the source of faith.
2 Corinthians 4:13 (New International Version)
It is written: "I believed; therefore I have spoken." With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak,
When faith is born, its nature is to act and speak.
God’s faith calls those things that are not as though they were.
Proverbs 18:21 (New Living Translation)
The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.
Faith will not allow feelings to lead.
Faith yields to God and allows the Spirit to lead the way.
Examples:
1. When there are physical symptoms in our bodies, faith says, “Flesh, I don’t care how you feel. I’m gonna tell you how to feel!”
2. We don’t allow our feelings to tell us who we are—we speak to ourselves that we are joyous, that we are healthy, that we are prosperous!
